THE TING TINGS: Great DJ

After being catapulted into the limelight via a ubiquitous iPod commercial, the Salford based duo of The Ting Tings follow through with a brilliant summertime pop album. Aptly entitled We Started Nothing, the album mixes today's genres of the moment, electro, punk and pop for a perfect cocktail of catchy hooks and punchy lyrics. SAM SPARRO: Black And Gold

Look out Jamie Lidell. Los Angeles based soul electrofunkster Sam Sparro is riding a blogospheric wave of hype usually reserved for NME endorsed indie band-o-the-week. The slick production and the soulful croon of this blue eyed boy will equally satisfy Maroon 5 to 9ers and French Touchtards. The LA style blinged video is directed by Alexandliane. THE KILLS: U.R.A. Fever

The American/British sleaze rock duo The Kills have resurfaced with a third long player entitled Midnight Boom. This time the production credits are handled in part by Spank Rock beat smith, Armani XXXchange and the results are swamp black and electronica tinged. The maiden voyage from the album is this tripnotic ditty accompanied by a punk film noir backdrop as envisioned by cliptip favourite, Sophie Muller. Watch the music video (qt).

ROISIN MURPHY: Overpowered

I freaking love this song. Roisin Murphy is really building a career on her terms, maintaining an eccentricity and electricity so unique and inspired that she never appears to sell out. On her second solo long player away from Moloko, she collaborates with a collection of ground breaking producers including Groove Armada and Seiji of Bugz In The Attic. This video, also brilliantly directed by Jamie Thraves @ Factory, is an amazing contrasting send-up of Roisin's post-glamourous performance persona. Watch as she traipses around London performing mundane tasks such as riding the bus home, buying after-hour chips at the local kebab shop, and collect her laundry, all while garbed in a ridiculously over the top Gareth Pugh dress. FUJIYA & MIYAGI: Ankle Injury

The deceptive Brighton band with the Japanese name releases a killer single from their Transparent Things album, complemented with a joyously concocted music video directed by Wade Shotter. The comparisons to Michel Gondry's lego inspired clip for The White Stripes will undoubtedly pour in, this video takes a similar animation route but keeps it on the 2D side with the added texture of using dice. Colours and numbers add a cool nifty edge to the video which is a perfect marriage with the equally cool nifty Fujiya & Miyagi single. Watch the music video (qt).

KASABIAN: Me Plus One

Psychedelic glam rock is the new resurgence fighting for real estate against eighties hyper-neon new rave on the hip radar. Kasabian are not necessarily known as originators of the movement, but certain are no detractors from the current movement. This erotic hallucinogenic little white rabbit of a video, complete with black and white drama exploding in flowing psychoactive coloured dancers, is directed by Scott Lyons. MARK RONSON: Stop Me

British born, New York based deejay and producer Mark Ronson collects a high-profile celebrity collaborated album of cover versions in his signature soul funk style. Enlisting everyone from bad girl lush Amy Winehouse, ambisexual Robbie Williams, mouthy cutie Lily Allen, rockers Kasabian or California sunshiners Phantom Planet, to cleveryly interpret such modern charters as Toxic by Britney Spears, Just by Radiohead, or Oh my God by the Kaiser Chiefs. cleverly This is the first video takes on the Smiths original, with soul crooning vocals by Australian Daniel Merriweather. The video, directed by Scott Lyon, explores the life of sneakers with a mind of their own. Watch the music video (qt).

DIZZEE RASCAL: Sirens

UK grime artist Dizzee Rascal returns with a third collection, leading off this with single filled with killer rhymes, a cymbal heavy rock beat and pulverizing guitar riff. Directed by W.I.Z., the video is a surreal and brillaint juxtaposition between fox hunt and man hunt, with a newly buff Dizzee being pursued by a bunch of red petticoat attired, siren calling, wearing-blood fetishists.
