ROISIN MURPHY: Overpowered

I freaking love this song. Roisin Murphy is really building a career on her terms, maintaining an eccentricity and electricity so unique and inspired that she never appears to sell out. On her second solo long player away from Moloko, she collaborates with a collection of ground breaking producers including Groove Armada and Seiji of Bugz In The Attic. This video, also brilliantly directed by Jamie Thraves @ Factory, is an amazing contrasting send-up of Roisin's post-glamourous performance persona. Watch as she traipses around London performing mundane tasks such as riding the bus home, buying after-hour chips at the local kebab shop, and collect her laundry, all while garbed in a ridiculously over the top Gareth Pugh dress.
