LILY ALLEN: The Fear

Life has been a bit rough for Lily: a miscarriage, a broken-off engagement with fiance, Chemical Brother Ed Simons, and a much label delayed second album. Well things seem to be back on track for the pop enfant terrible, with this new single including the brilliant lyric, "I am a weapon of mass consumption." The spoiled brat personae is further foiled by this Nez directed video. Watch the music video (qt).

ANNIE: I Know UR Girlfriend Hates Me

Norwegian electropop darling, Annie, is back with a second long player due shortly. The first is a sugary confection produced by Richard X and while lacks in feats of musical innovation, lands squarely in the sweet spot of top girly bubblegum pop. Directed by Sarah Chatfield in hypercolour make-up. Watch the music video (qt).

GOLDFRAPP: A&E

Goldfrapp glide back into the limelight this February with a new record that side steps the glam-pop chart success of Supernature. Now trumpeting a mellow, folk tinged atmospheric sensibility, Alison and Gregory veer Seventh Tree into pastoral territory somewhat explored with their debut album, but equally pop-ified to Felt Mountain as Supernature was to Black Cherry. The video builds on the Goldfrapp mystique, serene in nature, with shambling mounds of vegetation choreographed in swirling, collapsing oddity. Colonel Blimp's Dougal Wilson helms the lens. BAT FOR LASHES: What's A Girl To Do?

Another hynotic single from Natasha Khan and company, also know as Bat For Lashes. Haunting and minimal are yet again the themes, shrouding Natasha's mysterious purr enveloped in harpsicord and kettle drums. The video, which already ripped across the blog-o-sphere, is a genius execution by Colonel Blimp director Dougal Wilson. Giant mascot headed BMXer's pedal, hop and twist in sync to the subtle pulsing break beats of this trip hop masterpiece. A cliptip favourite with a Donnie Darko-esque bunny headed bullet. Watch the music video (qt).

ALI LOVE: Secret Sunday Lover

As featured on the latest Chemical Brothers track, the world is ready for a little oversaturation burn on Mr. Ali Love. The London based electro funkster brings some groovy pop hooks to the table on his debut solo single, and director Ben Ib drops some serious science fiction on this hypercolour video. Drawing inspiration from classic retro futurist properties such as Logan's Run and Battlestar Galactica, this groovy little video is sure to please the geek set. Watch the music video (qt).

THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS: Galvanize

Nothing is as influential as the past. As electronica waned from the American consciousness, the Chemical Brother maintained a steady, though diminished hold on the innovation of music by plundering the influences of the past: glitchy electro, old school hip hop, and anthemic rock loops. On their return to the forefront, The Chemical Brothers partner with American rapper Q-Tip to bring this eastern string inspired battle groove in an attempt to reassert electronica's rhythmic pulse back into the mainstream. What's on the leading edge in underground dance music? Krumping (breakdancing while wearing clownfaced make-up) and it's showcased in their latest clip. Watch the video (qt).
