THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS: The Salmon Dance

Rapping pirahna? Beatboxing blowfish? Bloody brilliant. Consistent to the aesthetics of London's Chemical Brothers is their love of electronic broken beats and psychedelic drug induced visuals. With raps by Fatlip and music video sculpting by Dom & Nic, its yet another triumphant visual feast to have your acid flashbacks to. The second single off their sixth studio album, We Are The Night. Tuesday

THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS: Do It Again

The Chemical Brothers are at it again with a brand new slice of electropop in the vein of a pumped up Hot Chip. Enlisting funkster vocalist Ali Love, what the track lacks in block rocking break beats, it compensates for in pop sensibility. The new album, We Are The Night, is delayed until July 17th due to problems with the "production of the album artwork." Michael Haussman directs the convulsing, compulsive Moroccan take on the Gods Must Be Crazy vs the Heist. Watch the music video (qt).

Monday

THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS: Galvanize

Nothing is as influential as the past. As electronica waned from the American consciousness, the Chemical Brother maintained a steady, though diminished hold on the innovation of music by plundering the influences of the past: glitchy electro, old school hip hop, and anthemic rock loops. On their return to the forefront, The Chemical Brothers partner with American rapper Q-Tip to bring this eastern string inspired battle groove in an attempt to reassert electronica's rhythmic pulse back into the mainstream. What's on the leading edge in underground dance music? Krumping (breakdancing while wearing clownfaced make-up) and it's showcased in their latest clip. Watch the video (qt).
