The Scottish quartet threaten to burn the city in this retro, graphics intensive horror genre inspired music video. BASEMENT JAXX: Oh My Gosh

Indie darlings TV On The Radio's first single. If may be lo-fi, but the world deserves to hear this incredible rock/soul/electronic fusion from the Williamsburg based band. Watch the video (qt).

DOVES: Black And White Town

Manchester's Doves return with their third LP, the lead single being this exceptionally catchy, upbeat pop anthem. A bleaker version of life is represented in the video of trapped suburban teenage blandness. Ultimately, it is a message of encouragement and of change. Watch the video (real).

SCISSOR SISTERS: Filthy / Gorgeous

If this single is any indication, according to the Scissor Sisters all disco would be super gay disco. This track and video are no exception. This is the dirty version of the video from the New York band that cleaned up at the Brit Awards. Watch the video (win).

DEATH FROM ABOVE 1979: Blood On Our Hands

Second release from their brilliant debut, the Toronto duo shake up an underground club in white limo'ed rockstar style. Add harmonies but don't call them a boy band. Watch the video (qt).

LOUIS XIV: God Killed The Queen

Rolling describes Louis XIV as a sexed up San Diego glam band. With obvious influences from T-Rex, the foursome strut their old school rock theatre without touching the current eighties, new wave revival sounds. Watch the video (qt).

This is the improbably chic lead track from the Los Angeles band's excellent debut album, Dangerous Dreams. With sneering post punk attitude, this single will keep the punk kids and the club kids satisfied with grinding guitars and a commanding four-on-the-floor rhythm. Dreadfully underrated. THE BRAVERY: An Honest Mistake

The self titled debut album is creating a stir. Combining dance friendly beats with a melancholy sensibility, (less political than Radio 4, less raw than the Rapture, less funky than LCD Soundsystem, less gloomy than Interpol) the Bravery fits nicely within the New York pantheon of post punk, post New Order, post Smiths assets. THE HIDDEN CAMERAS: I Believe In The Good Of Life

The New York band that created more buzz with style and showmanship than musicianship has returned with a tight new single and a visually stunning new video. Casey and company tone down the flamboyance, but still keep it high gloss on the glamour. It just goes to prove, a good concept and bankrolled execution is all it takes to replicate superstardom. KAISER CHIEFS: I Predict A Riot

Directors Alex and Martin turn Kylie's latest synthpop confection into the attack of the 40 foot sex kitten. As slick, stylish and electro revivalist as a revamped eighties icon can be, this latest effort from the most coveted ass in Britain ultimately finds itself as fashionably disposable as last seasons unfortunate Ugg boot. BJÖRK: Triumph Of A Heart

The Icelandic music eccentric joins forces with American film eccentric, Spike Jonze, to create a humourous, light hearted love story between pink clad, gold lamé booted fashion plate and humanoid man-cat. Witness a dissatisfied Björk boozing up on the town, slagging about drunk on cold pavement, and inciting an impromptu a cappella breakdown at a local Reykjavik pub. Watch the video (qt).

LCD SOUNDSYSTEM: Daft Punk Is Playing At My House

James Murphy, half of the NYC based DFA production team, finalizes the debut album from side project LCD Soundsystem. Riffing off his seminal aging hipster rant "I'm Losing My Edge", Murphy continues with his affection for French electronic pranksters Daft Punk with this post-punk, post-electro, post-ironic gem. Featured in the clip are the costumed characters of Daft Punk's "Around The World" video shot in sputtering stop motion photography. Watch the video (qt).
