GALACTIC: Hustle Up

New Orleans soul funk outfit blow your mind with a raptastic collaboration of fresh live jams with battle MCs. This track features the microphone chatter of hip hop aggitator Boots Riley and enlists the visual chops of Ron Winter. SHOCKING PINKS: Emily


Being signed to DFA Records tends to get you some notice when it comes to innovative indie dance music, and Shocking Pinks is such a band. No fuss drone punk from New Zealand fronted by Nick Harte, listen lightly and find an articulated My Bloody Valentine influence. The work released by DFA is broadly a compilation of previous work. Newer work under the DFA label is yet to be released. The video is directed by Ron Winter with Ben Dickinson. Watch the music video (qt).
