DUFFY: Mercy

Is this squeaky clean Welsh blonde the new Amy Winehouse? The UK press seems to make her out to be. Sure she's got an wizened beyond her teenage years world weariness about her and her voice is prematurely gruff and soulful. But it's doubtful that low register voice is a result of all night benders, spousal shouting matches or a cocktail of too much hair colourant and beehive holding spray akin to he peer.
