MASSIVE ATTACK: False Flags

V FESTIVAL TORONTO A new track from the collected double album, this track focuses on a contemplative rhyme by 3-D and a sombre piano riff that recalls earlier work circa the Protection album. Cleaner, less clostraphonic but, lyrically, as sharp and challenging as ever. The video is directed by Paul Gore and features the slow motion capture of desperation, fear and fury. I recently witnessed Massive Attack play the Coachella festival this year. The live show is powerful, haunting and much improved from their original underlight and motionless stage production. Watch the video (qt).
