Natasha Khan, the lead woman behind London's Bat For Lashes has been generated UK music rag heat for the past couple of months. I picked up her debut on Echo Records while on a trip to the UK recently and I have not been disappointed. The middle eastern influences meld nicely with the contemporary instrumentation and downtempo electronic hi-jinks some journos would term trip-hop. But make no mistake, the dark, brooding and sparse atmospheres created stir a mood currently lacking in popular music. The video is directed by Andy Bruntel @ the directors bureau. Watch the
